People for the World Trade Organization and free trade, both Democratic and Republican presidential nominees, believe that the globalization and trade from which the WTO supports, have made some previously poorer countries and rich countries, wealthier. The international trade has grown about six times larger since 1950, because of this economical growth of trade, a group needs to watch over the countries trade and make sure everything is fair and runs smooth. To reach global prosperity, WTO believes that trade must expand by increasing there border-less economy. To have this, there would need to be a universally accepted authority, which is where the WTO steps in and helps. Their are also some disadvantages about the WTO. The major concerns are in of the raising democracy and fear of democracy taking over the WTO, labor rights, and environmentally friendly.
